International Day of Action for the Decriminalisation of Abortion

Saturday September 28th will mark the International Day of Action for the Decriminalisation of Abortion , this is an initiative that sprung from Latin America in 1990 to highlight the inhumane circumstances endured by women in countries where access to abortion is partially or totally prohibited.

As part of this global campaign, Alliance for Choice call on the governments North and South to implement access to safe and legal abortion for women as part of their health care. We demand the right for women to control their own bodies and to be able to make the choices that are right for them to be respected and upheld for what it essentially is: a human right.

Photo call at 13:00 at free Derry wall. Everyone is welcome to come along and support the call for women's right to legal and safe abortions.

At 14:00 at Guildhall square for street action as part of the 28th of September global campaign for the decriminalisation of abortion.
